These booking photos show the weight loss Broderick Laswell has endured over the past eight months. The top mug shot was snapped last September when the 19-year-old inmate was arrested for murder in Benton County, Arkansas (by his own account, he weighed 413 pounds at that time, though jail records listed him at 382). The following three photographs were taken in January, February, and March of this year at the neighboring Washington County lockup, where Laswell was serving time for an unrelated drug possession conviction. In the upper right corner of each mug shot we've placed the image's date and Laswell's corresponding weight. As seen in the most recent photo, from March 14, Laswell is looking pretty good--at least for someone facing the death penalty for a heinous crime.
